Whospost
| Google(Gemini API) |
| Google Analytics |
(Data deletion instructions)
(Whospost for Threads)
credentials: 'omit')。

Whospost Privacy Policy (English)
1. What the service does
Whospost is a web tool. A user pastes a public Threads profile link; the tool collects that account's recent public posts and public replies and lists checkable behaviour signals (repeated content, concentrated replying, bursts of replies within seconds). Results are an uncalibrated rule checklist with source links, not a determination of anyone's identity, affiliation or intent.
2. Data we process
(a) The queried public Threads account: public username and display name; recent public posts and replies (text, timestamp, permalink, the public username being replied to); computed signals and an AI-generated summary automatically produced after a scan completes, when the service is enabled and budget is available. Source today: the third-party scraping service Apify. If we move to the official Threads API this page will be updated. The queried account is not notified.
(b) Visitors: the username or link you enter; technical records (a salted hash of your IP (an IPv6 address by its /64) for the hourly quota and rate limiting, the raw IP is not stored; Cloudflare Turnstile result; basic browser information); Google Analytics 4 usage events that do not include the queried username.
(c) If you sign in with Threads (official-API version, not yet live): your Threads user ID, username and granted scopes. Access tokens stay server-side and never appear in the UI, URLs or logs.
3. Purposes
Produce and display results; keep results so they can be shared by link without re-collecting; control cost and abuse; improve the product with de-identified statistics. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
4. Recipients
Cloudflare (hosting and storage, US); Apify (collects public posts, CZ); Google Gemini API (post/reply text and signals, automatically after a scan completes when enabled and budget is available; the summary is shared with later viewers); Anthropic Claude API (US; the same text and signals, only when Gemini cannot produce the summary, for example when its quota is used up; the summary is shared the same way); Google Analytics (de-identified events); Cofacts (post text, fact-check similarity, TW); Meta Threads API (queried username and your authorised identity, only once the official-API version is live).
5. Retention
Results, evidence and AI summaries: kept until the data subject asks for deletion or the project ends; there is no automatic deletion today. Cache: expires within one hour. Quota counters reset an hour after a network address's first new check, and are deleted after a day. Storage is on Cloudflare; if daily backups are enabled they are kept for at most 30 days.
6. Your rights and data deletion instructions
If you own a queried account, or signed in with Threads, you can ask us to delete data about you: (1) open an issue using the data deletion request form on GitHub (a GitHub account and sign-in are required) with only your public username or the share link. This page is public: do not post phone numbers, addresses or other personal data. We never ask for passwords or tokens. (2) To prevent impersonation we may ask you to post a short public message from that account. (3) We reply within 30 days and delete the results, evidence, AI summary and share page, after which the share link stops working. (4) You can also revoke this app in Threads under Settings → Website permissions. Exceptions required by law or technical necessity (e.g. cost ledger counts without personal data) will be explained in our reply. If you prefer not to file publicly, write only "please contact me privately" in the issue and we will reply with a private channel.
7. Browser extension (Whospost for Threads)
The extension marks replies on the Threads page you are already viewing with the behaviour signals this site has published. What it does and does not do:
- Only the page you are looking at. It reads the replies Threads has already loaded into your tab and does not crawl. Two features below talk to Threads itself (account background, block helper); nothing else does.
- Passive browsing sends nothing to us. Every 10 minutes the extension checks the whole public list (hashed usernames and their signals, derived from results already on this site) and compares it in your browser. While you read Threads, no username, hash or page address leaves your device for Whospost.
- Thread observation stays local. Counting how often one account replies in the thread you are reading, or the same text appearing under several names, happens only in your browser and is discarded when you leave the page.
- Account background (needs you signed in to Threads). For authors shown with a chip, the extension asks Threads, from the Threads page and with your own Threads sign-in, for what Threads itself shows you about that profile: the month they joined, the place Threads lists, and whether they changed username. At most one account every 2 seconds and 300 an hour. The result stays on your computer for 7 days and never changes a score. Only for an account you press "AI check" on (whose name already goes to Whospost for the check) are the place and joined month sent to Whospost; they are published in the list, so other users see them without reading them from Threads. For that, the site stores one row per account and network address, keyed by a salted hash of the address, never the address itself. Accounts whose background is already on the list are not read again. Turning the extension off stops it; removing it clears what was kept. We can switch the feature off remotely.
- Block and report helper (only when you press it). When you press "Block this user" in the popover, the extension presses Threads' own "⋯ → Block → Block" on that reply, right on the page you are reading, one account at a time, with an 8-second pause before the next. "Report this user" presses only "⋯ → Report" and stops at Threads' report window; you choose the reason and send it. If any step is not where it was, it stops and asks you to press it yourself. It never follows or likes, and never sends a report. The accounts you blocked this way are remembered only on your computer; the popup shows only how many. We can switch the button off remotely.
- Things only you trigger. Pressing "AI check" next to an account sends that one account's profile address to Whospost to run a public check, the same check anyone can run on this site; the result is published like any other and joins the list as a hash. Each installation can do this 10 times an hour, and the result is kept on your computer for an hour. Once those are used up, the button becomes "Background": pressing it sends the same profile address, asking only for a result the site already has; nothing new is started. Whoever checks an account, every user of the extension sees the result through the list within about 20 minutes. "Check on the Whospost site" opens this website with the username filled in; you press search yourself.
- Daily counts. The extension sends one anonymous tally a day: how many post pages it saw, how many accounts it compared, how many were on the list or marked, and how many times you pressed AI check, background lookup and block (counts only, never which accounts); when a Threads layout change stops it from reading replies, one "layout broken" notice. Each carries only the extension version and the date, with no username, hash, address, cookie or installation ID, and the server keeps only totals per date and version. Turning the extension off stops it. The three numbers in the popup (AI checks, background lookups and blocks) are kept on your computer only and are never sent.
- No cookies to us, no account. Every request to Whospost is sent without credentials (
credentials: 'omit'). Only the account background requests, which go to Threads itself, carry your Threads sign-in, as your own visit to that profile would. The extension reads two on/off switches from/api/health; they are booleans, not code. - Deletion. To delete a result about your account, follow section 6.
8. Public data is still personal data
We collect a limited recent sample, link to the original, and state on every result that the score is not a "bot probability" and does not establish automation or coordination.
9. Children
Not directed at children under 13.
